Allyson has made some great strides today. She is still sedated - TopicsExpress

Allyson has made some great strides today. She is still sedated so that she is not irritated by the many tubes and lines going in and out of her body. She is comfortable as I write this update. But nowhere near being out of the woods. Though things can and have changed on a moments notice. She is still very ill. She is currently receiving a gas called nitric oxide that is helping expand some of the contracted blood vessels in her lungs. She has four IV brains and 13 pumps giving her various fluids and medications. We have faith that she will make a recovery. Her body is very tired. She has completed nine rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. But she is a fighter. I apologize for not responding to some of the emails and texts that Emma and I have received. We have spent many sleepless hours here at the hospital and at Ronald McDonald House. One piece of positive news is that we received the results of her fourth chimerism test and her transplant is still holding perfectly...tender mercies.
