Almajiri in Northern Nigeria! Before the inception of president Goodluck Azikiwe Ebele Jonathan, these poor Northern lads, otherwise known as the Almajiris were all over the streets of Northern Nigeria, helplessly begging for alms from the so called Northern leaders. The so called Northern leaders never saw it wise to liberate these poor lads from the streets and give them meaningful livelihood, all the Buharis, Atikus, Kwankwasos of this world was only interested in using them to grab power at all means from centre and cared nothing about their wellbeing. But Mr. President, a Southerner came in morethan 4 years ago and took this helpless lads off the streets. President Jonathan has built over 150 modern Almajiri schools in Northern Nigeria.....and somewhere, some people are screaming Change? My people....what type of change are these people clamouring for? Are they saying that these Almajiris should change back to their helpless state they used to be before??? Lets be sincere with ourselves for once; what type of change exactly? Sincere Northerners and Almajiris will forever pray that the regime of the upfliftment of the Alimanjiris continues with President Goodluck Azikiwe Ebele Jonathan.
