Almighty God, who alone has given us the breath of life, and alone can keep our hearts filled with Your holy desires: We pray this day, trusting in Your infinite compassion, to sanctify our thoughts and endeavors; that we may neither begin an action without a pure intention nor continue it without Your blessing. Examine our hearts today, Lord GOD, and see if there be any things, pursuits, or attitudes that are drawing us away from YOUR HEART and thrusting us once again into the mindset of the world. Rid us, dear God, of all impurities, refresh our spirit, and remind us of our godly heritage. O God, You know our hearts more than we do ourselves; reveal to us now, that which helps and that which hinders our Christian walk. It is Your loving-kindness that leads us to repentance. You do not hover over us in judgment, but walk alongside us assuring us of Your unwavering love and boundless mercy that will see us through on this side of the journey. Bless us, O God, to walk it step by step holding on to Your right hand, and communicating our cares to You in prayer; for we know, Lord, that Your hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither Your ear heavy, that it cannot hear. In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.
