Almighty God, who has bidden the light to shine out of darkness, who has again wakened us to a new day. Lord bless us to begin this day in devout meditations, in joy unspeakable, and in blessing and praising the God who has given us such good hope and everlasting consolation. Lift up our minds, O Lord, above all things below, which are apt to distract our thoughts; and keep them above till our hearts are fully bent towards You; surrendering all that we are, that we might BE all that You have purposed us to BE! Forsaking our own will, Lord GOD, that Your will might be accomplished in the earth. Lord, You have given us the power to effect change, and we pray that by Your Holy Spirit, You would expose any fears or anxieties that we might yet cleave to; that we may be completely abandoned unto You; captivated in Your bonds of love, yet completely free from sin’s entanglements, free from doubt and fear, free from worry and grief, free to live the abundant life that You desire for those who belong to You. In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.
