Almost 20 years ago, a bunch of off-roaders of varied sports got together and started talking about a national, informal, grassroots collaboration of clubs/associations who could work more closely together to save trails and keep motorized recreation alive and well, for all activities, all across the USA. And you can put this in the bank, in off-road recreation part of the test of success is longevity and growth. The North American Motorized Recreation Council (NAMRC) has both and more. NAMRC was born during tough times for outdoor recreation, from ideas spurred by the East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association, United Four Wheel Drive Associations and BlueRibbon Coalition.
