Almost a year ago began the change of life as we knew it. My dad who had never been ill and had only been to the hospital to be born (first in his family) was about to begin a great transition. Here is a great memory for me. My parents have a friend who brought over what was his families favorite appetizer, a layered piece, with bread, cream cheese, baby shrimp, olives I think and more. I was at my parents and they asked should they get this out to try. As a kid I wasnt big on radishes but in recent months Ted and I found we loved them in salads, well this layered appetizer included radishes as mentioned earlier and I started to tell my parents of our rediscovery of them. Out of the blue my dad started to sing this crazy song..... my mom and I were sort of perplexed saying to him that he made it up.... just for fun I looked up a few of the words and discovered that he hadnt made it up, he actually knew it verbatim. It is not politically correct for our generation but it was in the 1950s or whenever it was produced.
