Almost all the discussion I have ever seen about standards, standardized testing, and adjusting curriculum leave out the problem that its the failing schools, usually in low income districts, that get the most hurt. It isnt just about whether or not your kids is okay with the testing. Its about what happens in schools that arent making the grade, and what happens to the kids in those schools in order to get them to pass testing.
