Almost exactly a year ago I picked up and moved to Sacramento for a unique and incredibly challenging opportunity. Some things are unique, like snowflakes or finger prints or blades of grass... No two are exactly the same. And there are other unique items that you experience in life that are etched in your memory forever as special firsts ... Like your first day of school, first time behind the wheel of a car, first kiss, and a first Championship in Sports with a team ... Ive been fortunate to be part of several Championships in my career in sports ... This recent one with Sacramento Republic FC was unique and very, very special ... Was it the best? That can never be answered ... But it was a first ... with my new team. I believe it was my friend Bruce Arena who was quoted once when asked which of his Championships was his best ... After a pause, he answered, The next one ... with a little smile. Thank you to the team, to the coaches, and to our front office of Sacramento Republic FC that I am part of, for this truly magical year!
