Almost home, just a few more miles. My dogs and cat will be so excited! Im about to be jumped on. :). Parents day is November 8 so Ill start looking for a flight deal to go back. Now, on to try to make a life as a empty nester mom. I began feeling guilty about my sadness because I know a woman who lost her child to cancer and unlike me, will never see him again. I started feeling selfish at my own pain, as if it was not worthy. However, part of life is experiencing emotions, and even though others have it worse, much worse in this case, its still okay to feel sad about what you lost or has changed. Cancer taught me that. But it also taught me that perspective is crucial. My difficult change is a wonderful thing for somebody I love. Over time, if my health stays good, Ill fill my life with things other than mothering. If I get sick again, than Im just grateful hes out of the house and has his own life. Hes been through enough watching my illness. I have an excel document I promised to finish, so Ill use that to keep busy the next few days. :).
