Almost into day 4 of chemotherapy, Oscar and grandma have been spending quality time these past 3 days. As I walk into Oscars hospital room I notice the chubinesss in his face. This is a result of fluid retention which is a side effect of the chemotherapy. Other than the noted temporary facial weight gain, chemo has been treating Oscar fair. Oscar states hes felt some nausea but for the most part is able to eat anything. Oscar was started on Lasix earlier today to help remove and excrete the excess fluid accumulation. He will be receiving the 4th of 5 chemo treatment later tonight. Hoping to be dismissed on Tuesday which marks day 6 for this admission. I snapped a picture of Oscars chubby face. After seeing the picture Oscar says to me I actually look like a real cancer patient now, as if he hadnt looked like one already. I couldnt help but giggle.
