Almost mid-day and life moves along in a pattern well known here … we shall go get our hair trimmed … grab the snail mail … and appreciate the fine fare Lisa has prepared for our evening meal ... an early meal to be savoured when she gets back from her foray into the world of education … she is just going out the door now for her half day at the mast … she seems almost ‘too cheerful’ at going to a task she has handled for so long … we recall her first teaching in a country school back in 72 … merely a blink in time has passed … We have also grabbed a mid-day snack of toast and grapefruit and at the same time browsed the worlds headlines … stop it … I want to get off … disgust is not an adequate word … a ton of squirrels and a lot of malfeasance … real issues and deep concerns buried beneath the proffered offerings … wishing the best for American friends in the mid-term elections they are having … we have doubts about outcomes … our day has less consequence and for these small mercies found away from the fray … we are grateful …
