Almost weekly I see the work of so many highly talented young actresses, most of whom struggle to make a living wage. Then I see Emma Watson in something, who is in my view staggeringly bad, ( MY WEEK WITH MARILYN – I rest my case) yet she seems to work all the time and results v payment wise I would suspect is remunerated excessively for what she brings a thesping to the table. Life is so unfair. I am sure she is a “star” to some but as someone who once endured a HARRY POTTER film, not in my book. Bette Davis was a star, Meryl Streep is a star, someone who was cast as child in a huge blockbuster is not a star, they are lucky. Or is it only me who sees she is decked out in the Emperors old cast off’s ?
