Aloha Friends. The letter below was sent this morning and generated by a group I am associated with called the Arctic Methane Emergency Group, AMEG, a global think tank of scientists, climate leaders and communicators like myself all dedicated to creating awareness about the impending climate crisis that is being ignored by most governments and establishment organizations, including the biased Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that all governments use to make policy. If we are to take advantage of a narrow window of opportunity to stop this runaway catastrophic heating in the Arctic we must act now before it reaches a critical tipping point. As many of you know, I am recording a TED TALK on October 8th on “The Impacts of Climate Change on Hawaii Island” and will be presenting more information with another AMEG colleague to the State Senate, business leaders, and the public in Honolulu on October 14th. As these presentations may be somewhat local in focus, the overall situation presented in the letter below from John Nissen, Chair of AMEG, should educate everyone to the global crisis we all now find ourselves in. Thank you for reading this and please share this information to help create the awareness we need. Hey, its a kakou thing and we cant do it with out your help. Mahalo, Keith
