Aloha, The Marine Wildlife Program, with the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, is recruiting 3 new outreach positions to work with fishermen, ocean users, Native Hawaiian organizations, agencies, and communities to address Hawaiian monk seal and sea turtle issues and reduce harmful interactions. The positions will be located on Kauai, Maui County, and Hawaii Island. Specific positions descriptions are attached. A few key points to consider: We are looking for people with real world, on the ground experience (academic training is secondary). The job is not 9a-5p. Its about being where you need to be when you need to be there. The salaries that went out previously were incorrect. The new descriptions (attached) reflect the appropriate, higher salaries.
