Aloha mai kakou, The Hawaii Chapter of The Wildlife - TopicsExpress

Aloha mai kakou, The Hawaii Chapter of The Wildlife Society has been up to some good stuff this year, including co-sponsoring a wildlife Nerd Nite in Honolulu, giving out student awards at the Hawaii Conservation Conference, and hosting an Endangered Species Act Section 7 workshop to help augment the skills of Hawaiis wildlife professionals. We have lots of other great ideas for volunteer service trips, field trips, more workshops, student-professional mixers, etc. But to make those happen,we need your help and expertise! Luckily, its that time of the year to nominate a slate of directors for the Hawaii Chapter of The Wildlife Society. Being a board member is a fun and rewarding way to be involved in helping up-and-coming wildlife professionals, meeting new contacts and peers, and helping to create a vibrant community of wildlife and conservation professionals in our state. If you would like to nominate someone or yourself, please reply to this e-mail with your nomination’s name and contact information by January 9th, 2015. Nominees do NOT need to be current members of The Wildlife Society (though will need to join the chapter and national organization if elected). Students and professionals are welcome. Terms are for one year. The slate of directors will assign nominees from the nominations of the general membership and the current executive officers. Feel free to nominate as many individuals as you see fit and you do not need to indicate a position for your nomination.
