Alot of people are upset about Chris Rocks monologue because he addressed 9/11 and the Boston Marathon bombing with humor. I personally loved it although I did let out a few no he didnts. But comedy when done right not only makes us laugh but makes us think. It can be profound as well as entertaining. At acting auditions I get asked all the time why I dont do stand up comedy anymore. The truth is that I didnt enjoy working on the craft like I do with acting. And it truly is a craft and the craft as well as the audience deserves more respect than someone just up there half assing it for a couple of bucks and shits and giggles. It truly is a craft and I respect it enough to honor it with only a thoughtful and refined honest effort because when done right like Chris here it truly makes an impact not only on our nights but also our societies.
