Alpha Paging update: We hope to have better reception of Montcos alpha paging system in the next day or so. That means the alpha pages that are coming through garbled will come through perfectly. We are also keeping or finger on the pulse of Bucks Countys plans for their own alpha paging. The information we are getting indicates Bucks is going to add alpha paging to its current voice dispatch channel (155.550). Once that happens we will establish a receiver to decode it and add the service to our subscription. We do not know when this will be happening, but we hope it is soon. They are also changing their voice dispatches from the current tower select system to a simulcast system, meaning all voice dispatches will be transmitted off all county tower sites instead of just the one closest to the dispatched company. This is great news for us, as we will be able to receive 2-tone dispatches crystal clear throughout the county.
