Already, I am seeing a wave of posts, articles, and blogs that are calling for the police to be nicer, less trigger happy, and not use high tech weaponry and equipment. The police managers will espouse this philosophy because of PC reasons. This will result in one or more of several outcomes. 1-More injured/dead police. 2-More police on the job being way less active in crime fighting, for fear of repercussions. 3- Criminals realizing the trend and becoming more violent because they know what is happening. Just look at Ferguson, MO. The police were overwhelmed by a protest, and buildings were looted and burned? Think about a teenager that knows a parent will not scold or punish him for his misdeeds. He will do whatever he wishes. I do not believe the government or the police should be overzealous, do not get me wrong. AND North Carolina is a state that you can LEGALLY resist arrest if you KNOW it is wrong. I am just saying I see a current trend that will handicap the guys and girls on the front lines, and make it harder for them to come home every day. Done.
