Already the Christmas decorations are disappearing. Oh no! That reminds me of Carli, discovering the remote on and off switch for Christmas lights. Such a delight! She was enthralled every time the lights came on! This was not a good day for the great grand dad. When she arrived she crawled on the end of the sofa where he was laying and laid her hand on his head and pat pat pat softly for a very long time, then decided to find the dolls and crawled back onto the sofa and lay next to him patting his chest gently. He is her person and vice versa. She has given him all her time tonight. If a little one is discerning, she is. I can see why Robertsons of Duck Dynasty seem content. While we all need our quiet time, it is more fun with the younguns around! So back to the Christmas lights, I will miss them! I already have ideas for next year, but common sense kicks in, taxes take over and lifes necessities have to be dealt with. The next step for #2 is the cover, which is under consideration. All these are encouraging things in my life while my heartstrings feel concern over my beloved. Together we wrote a poem about an oak tree, once strong, now bending in the wind and we agreed that is life! Each season of life carries its own story and the songs rise and fall accordingly. And though we are in preparation, we are never ready when the story of life ends, when the strains of the song linger on. We grit our teeth and do whatever we can to keep the melody going but sometimes, Geneva, it is out of our hands, isnt it? (And I think of you often). Yes, I will miss the Christmas lights that brighten the dark, but I remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and a song in our hearts.
