Alright - who knows trains ? How could this happen in the Bronx on Sunday in a world where every passengers cellphones Google Maps ( or pathetic AppleMaps even ! ) on the entire train knew a curve was approaching MILES BEFORE; and that 82mph wasnt going to keep it on the rails. and 4 people die and 70 are scratched-to-mangled ....because the Conductor was having a dreamy moment ? In ~2014~ ??? REALLY ? Even that deadman-switch - stuff. Okay he has a heart attack 7000 before the curve....he collapses and.....it goes into neutral so would still crash off the tracks; albeit only at 60 instead of 82.3mph ? Seems ridiculously antiquated. Were not talking Japanese bullet Mag-Lev $12BB project - were talking like a Garmin unit connected to the engine controller / throttle/ brakes. I would have assumed trains had these systems since like 1988 ? 1995 ? What gives ?
