Alright FB friends, heres a rare personal request from me. I know a family (for over a decade now) that is needing help... a LOT of help. Several months ago they lost their jobs, home and have been living in a shelter (with 3 small kids). They finally found a place to live (lease to own!) and are using all their income tax refund for the down payment, utilities deposits and groceries. Their new home comes with a refrigerator and NOTHING ELSE. Because of having to live in a shelter, they quite literally have nothing other than the clothes on their backs. Please, if any of my FB friends have extra household items that youd be willing to give, anything at all, I would really appreciate it. Please PM me, I am willing to pick up anything you have, anywhere in the Birmingham area. Remember, they dont have anything! Their most immediate need is an electric stove and beds and linens.
