Alright, I guess Ill join the fun. Throwback Thursday to my hike up Mt. Bierstadt in September 2009, before I even knew what a 14er was; a hike that would later prove to change literally every aspect of my life. I had just moved to college and had no friends due to being an antisocial little shit in high school, so when I saw a flyer for an Outdoor Adventure Club at my school, advertising their hike up Mt Bierstadt, I thought I like hiking and I need to make friends and went along. I wound up joining that club, and today, the vast majority of people I consider my closest friends are people I met in that club or through people in the club. Some of them were on this trip, some werent, but this hike up Mt Bierstadt ultimately led to me meeting my closest friends and having them change my life in ways I couldnt have even imagined. Its weird to look at this photo now, knowing how incredibly different every facet of my life was back then, just five years ago. Even the pose Im striking is not one Id make today. Also, this photo is why Im never clean-shaven; I look 16 in this photo (I was 19) and still do when I shave.
