Alright, I need to give my 2 cents on this Paula Deen issue...Yes, she used an inappropriate word, a racial slur that I do not condone, nor use. But, we need to think about a few things. 1. She was raised in Georgia in the 1950s. This word, sadly, was common. 2. She admitted, when asked, that she had used this word in the past and it had been a long time since she used it. 3. She apologized. She knew she was wrong to have said it, ever. 4. Whether you detest what she said or not, it has nothing to do with her career as a chef. Why destroy her career for something she said in her past and has sincerely apologized for? Just my opinion.
