Alright, Im making this stand. Shock Treatment is a better movie than Rocky Horror Picture Show. Firstly, the music is just better. Exhibit A: https://youtube/watch?v=pJ4FnsDxtL8 Secondly, as far as pure message goes, Shock Treatment is a perfect satire of current media situation in 2014... despite being released in 1981. Seriously here... in the 1980s Richard OBrien predicted the rise of Reality television, the utter importance to the American life television is now, the way corporations buy and sell public opinion using the media... its insanely complex and dead on despite being over 30 years old. People seeing this in 1980 must have thought it was the most far fetched piece of crap... only it all eventually came true! Lastly, Jessica Harper makes the better Janet. I dont even care... Come at me Susan Sarandon! Harper can sing circles around you and I have thing for brunettes. WHAT! SAY SOMETHING SARANDON! Thats what I thought...
