Alright, Ive been looking for something to help my Lab mix Remmi. Poor boy, he just cant keep on weight. His hip bones show and his ribs are easily visible when he runs... Something he rarely stops doing, by the way,..I get dizzy just watching! I have him on a calorie and nutrient dense diet.. And, I just changed his HW meds to a brand that included tapeworm prevention because, lets face it.. Chasing and eating flies is one of his passions *Facepalm*. Yes, before you ask, Our dogs are family, and ARE WELL CARED FOR. And YES, Hes been to the vet (several times, for wormer etc.) recently. Aside from being underweight, (10-15lbs at times) hes healthy. His coat is glossy and full. Hes an energetic (like you wouldnt believe), happy, and playful pup. Per vets orders, Ive quit free feeding him, and started mixing His foods with yogurts and have been giving him pro biotic tablets occasionally to aid in digestion. He still wont gain weight. Admittedly, some days he can be a pretty finicky eater, and weve been trying to keep him inside more, but he easily grows bored. ((We have 9 dogs here, and 5 different foods to meet their needs... So we are willing to try just about anything.)) Anyone have any suggestions for food, tricks, or supplements that may help? Thanks in Advance.
