Alright, Ive been mature enough to not bring anything religious - TopicsExpress

Alright, Ive been mature enough to not bring anything religious onto Facebook or not but because Ive seen the propaganda littered throughout the walls of my friends in trouble, I feel the need to step in and make a PSA: **LONG-ISH READ AHEAD** More lives would be saved and more goals would be reached if people took action instead of relying on prayer. Whether youre religious or not is inconsequential. Please understand that just praying and letting God take the wheel is NOT the route you want to direct people that are emotionally damaged and incapable of coherent thought. Action NEEDS to be taken. Prayer is damaging on its own because it creates a sense of complacency where individuals will not take precaution or necessary measures to fix their scenario because, by nature, it provokes inaction. You feel you have a rock or fallback which sometimes makes you lazy due to not wanting to interfere with the will of God. The truth of the matter is this oftentimes leads to scientific or medical negligence which can literally take lives or ruin an existing one. Now Im not saying prayer is wrong, but please make sure to supplement it with action, and when reaching out to a loved one, make sure you encourage them to do the same and guide them so it looks like you care, not that you have ulterior motives to brainwash. Now I have religious and non-religious friends and I love both and dont discriminate against either. I understand that this will offend some people badly. Unfortunately, thats a trade-off Im willing to take as I value the success and well-being of my friends over the feeble hearts of those that are willing to let this offend them. Please do not utilize prayer as your only source for answers for problems or problems of loved ones. Take. Action. It saves lives, it changes the world for the better. You will not pray off weight. You will not pray off cancer. You will not pray off heart problems. You will not pray off abuse. Do something about it, and reach out to others who need you to do something for them. Thank you.
