Alright JABbers, I stopped by the Cash Saver growler filling - TopicsExpress

Alright JABbers, I stopped by the Cash Saver growler filling station yesterday. Unfortunately I was quite early, so no one was there to fill up my growler for me. But their signs make everything pretty clear: bring a clean growler, get a fill-up of whatever you want for a pretty good price. A 64-ounce growler is equal to about 5.3 12-ounce beers, so you can see that the prices are pretty fair, plus you have the benefit of a temperature-controlled keg, zero light infiltration, consistent carbonation, etc. The only thing to keep in mind with Cash Saver is the cost that they show is not what you will pay. They add 10% at the register (its part of their schtick), so a growler of Brutal IPA will be $11 plus tax, not $10. Also, their regular bottled beer selection is pretty outstanding. They have a good selection of domestic and foreign craft brews for better prices than youd find at Poinsett Package Store, or even Joes Liquors in Memphis. I highly recommend that if youre in the area (Midtown Memphis) and want to go on a beer run to head over there. You can also keep track of their taps on their Facebook page: Madison Growler & Bottle Shop
