Alright. Popped over that 1000 mark. Now for the blurb i promised: The house Shawonna Groves lived in was set back just a little from the road across a bare stretch of soggy looking grass with an archipelago of snow piles gradually dissolving into the gray winter blades. It was one of the only houses around with a front yard. Most had a front stoop, maybe a untended riot of weeds gone to shrub and tree with a plain square of grass in back with a seasonally abandoned grill sitting forlornly in the middle, waiting for the snow to melt. Someone had shoveled the walkway from the sidewalk to the front door, leaving wet ridges of slush at either side. It was the only house on the block that had succeeded in putting away the christmas decorations and looked all the more cheerful for it. From the street, it looked like the pugnacious little brother valiantly holding off the battered and taller neighbors that crushed into it on either side like boxers in the 8th round of an amateur fight.
