Alright, clearly some people need Game of Thrones (aka A song of Ice and Fire) explained to them. First off, IT IS NOT A HAPPY ENDING STORY, that is the whole point. It is an EPILOGUE to a happy ending story. Think about it, the whole kingdom rises up under the banner of a noble warrior to defeat an evil king the noble warrior takes the throne and marries a beautiful woman while his best friend goes off to rule over the north, that is the happy ending story. A song of Ice and Fire is what happens AFTER that. After the last book is written there will still be more to happen in Westeros because the whole point of the story is that the story never ends, there is a lot of history behind the series and there will be a future as well even if we dont get to see it. There is no main character it is essentially an historical document presented as a series of interwoven biographies. It is a comment on life, not on the life of a specific character. Because guess what? In life people die and evil never goes away. Now that we have that out of the way I figure I should let people know George R.R. Martin is offering a chance to go visit him for dinner and accompany him on a visit to a wolf sanctuary, oh, and he will also brutally murder you (in his book that is).
