Alright everyone, wow! Sitting at the airport, waiting for my connecting flight, thinking about all the exciting stuff that happened over the weekend. I kind of dont know where to begin. Yes, its true, my band won the award for Best Vegas Rock Band in the 2014 Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards!! I am so happy and honored. I honestly didnt expect it, at all, and because of that, I didnt prepare any type of speech for the show. I was so nervous, and shaky, I could hardly speak and remember all the thank yous I needed to say. Since we are doing a band thank you on the Leona X page, I want to use this one for a very personal thank you of my own, to all the most special people in my life. #1, first, and foremost, to my husband who supports me in everything I do and has the patience of a saint. It takes a confident and strong man to be able to handle everything that comes a long with being married to someone like me. He is my strength, my rock, and the one who makes it possible for me to keep chasing this insane dream. So, thank you, baby, for all you sacrifice for me. I love you forever. #2, My two daughters, who you never see me post about, talk about, or anything. I do this to protect them, and probably shouldnt even say anything now, but feel I must because they are what keeps me driven. It is my lifes ambition to teach and show them that you can be anything you want, believe in yourself or no one else will, chase your dreams with all the strength you have inside you, grow to become a strong confident woman, and always, always, stay true to yourself. They have, on a constant basis, been the ones who have always been there for me, supporting and cheering me on, even through the most difficult time and separations due to my touring. I love you, unconditionally, forever and ever, my baby girls. xoxo #3, My band and their wives. I know i already said this at the show, but I feel its worth repeating because without them, Leona X could not exist. Brian D Litton, thank you for believing in me when no one else would. You were the first one that came to the table, and with such, enthusiasm and love for the music and the vision I have. Youre amazing Brian and I am so grateful for you. Armeda Litton, thank you for always having the patience to put up with listening to us hammering it out at your house! Danny Robert, thank you also, for believing in and loving the songs, taking a chance with me when no one else would, for being so professional and hard working and so many other things, along with your girl, Lisa Polaschek, for always providing so much hospitality, every time I come down, a place to stay, rides, food, and tons of coffee! Your friendship is so special to me. Thank you to my sisters, Christine Kenyon, Shirley Jo, and Alison Kenyon Witthoft. To my Dad in heaven, and my Mom, Ruby Kenyon, who had a stroke on the day before the VRMAs. It was hard to go on with the shows with her on my mind, but I know she wanted me to, so thank you Mom, for always believing in me and encouraging me to follow my dreams. To make you all proud makes my heart happy Thank you, to my cousin Carrie Kenyon for coming all the way over from california to support and to Henry Cheng and Denise Flick for the same! There are tons more people to thank, but I had to first give a shout out to these most special people in my life. When I get home there will be more! Thank you, I love you xoxo
