Alright folks, here Im at it again. Dont know if this was true or not but have heard it many times and all were told almost the same. Heres my collective version of it given those many stories. Several years back in Georgia, lived a Hmong couple with their two kids. They had a hard life, learning the native tongue let alone, struggling to provide for their kids in a place where dreams are made real if youre a custom to the new lifestyle. The father, still young, at the age of 28. The mother, really young, at the age of 23. You know how Hmong marriage goes back in Thailand, marrying young. They like many others, migrated from a lifestyle with no government to a lifestyle where people live by the government. Anyhow, the father hunts for under table jobs while the wife stayed home to watch the kids. After many attempts with jobs, he finally received a job offer. Future stories of the family unfolds as the husband now has a job. Dreams are soon to be real, step by step. The husband worked at a hospital in the morgue section as a janitor. A job is a job when you cant speak English, at the end of the day, you were paid and thats all he cared about. Never heard of a hospital voiding protocols by not putting an employee on the payroll but, I suppose people will get away with just about anything. After getting used to the late shifts and seeing lifeless bodies laying all over the place, this was nothing to him. Going to work and being with dead bodies was a normal day for him now. The husbands job was to scrub the floors, stock paper towels/cloths, clean the stretchers, etc... Several times, he would end up picking up organs from the floor. So heres where it happened. On Sunday night, a Hmong man was brought into the morgue. This man was fatally involved in a car accident which ended his life short. His skull was crushed and tongue bitten off by his own teeth. His left shoulder collar bone was broken and struck his heart and the main artery. Blood was still oozing from the mans opened shoulder womb and through the mouth. Thought hed seen it all being that he worked in a morgue? Apparently not because this was the first Hmong dead body he has ever seen came in. Paying no attention, he cleaned the blood off the floor. After completely cleaning the floor, he stared at the body. Wanting to know who this Hmong man was, he waited until the body was tagged and put in the freezer. On his next shift, Monday, he came in much earlier than expected just to see the name of the Hmong body. The name was his name. The face was identical to him. With no one there, he was really scared. He knew he couldnt leave the facility being unfinished, he stayed until his shift was over. During his shift, all he did was sat away from the body. He called his wife and told her everything. His wife picked up the phone and said, my love, youve been dead since your kids and I made it here to the US. You died during a car accident with your friends. Only the kids and I can see you. Even though you terrify our kids at times, theyve since welcomed you into their lives. The money that you bring home is nothing but blessings to us and our kids. The father, utterly confused and wanted questions answered. Ever since that call, the wife and kids havent seen him anymore. I guess love can blind you even in the afterlife? Anyhow, hope you all enjoyed!
