Alright guys, was wondering if I could maybe get some advice or leads on a new trans if thats what is going to be needed. I have a 98 XJ automatic with a stock aw4 transmission... a while back my check engine light comes on and its throwing codes for shift solenoids. XJ stops downshifting when coming to a stop so I have to manually put it in 1st after coming to a stop then shift up so I know one of the solenoids is def bad so I just get all 3. Change the solenoids myself, and changed filter and gasket while Im in there. She drives fine after that but a few weeks later I get CEL again and its throwing 3 codes, P0700, P0758, and P0740 which are all transmission/solenoid codes. I know I installed the solenoids properly because I didnt the first go around and had to get back in there and change em to be correct. I have noticed less torque I guess you could say when going from a stop to just letting off brake, no gas, but it barely starts to move forward. Also if I let off gas while moving it slows WAY down, noticeably more than before I changed em. Any advice? Anybody ever had anything remotely close to this happen? Or should I just get a new (junkyard/craigslist/here) aw4 and forget about dealing with it? TL;DR: CEL for shift solenoids on my 98 XJ w/ aw4. Replaced all solenoids and now getting more CEL codes pertaining to solenoids. HALP
