Alright, its that time of year again. I want to ask people to NOT get chicks (or bunnies, ducklings, goslings, etc) as Easter gifts. But if you do- please do not turn them loose once they get past the cute phase (which is approximately one week). Chickens are prey and not overly intelligent. They dont last long if left to fend for themselves. If any of you do find yourself with a dyed (or natural) chick or other livestock that you no longer want... Please let me know. I will put them into my coop, no questions asked, or will locate an appropriate home for them where they will receive the care that they need.
