Alright, new guy question... and sorry, this seems like it should - TopicsExpress

Alright, new guy question... and sorry, this seems like it should be a simple, plain as day answer, but I want to make sure since I cant seem to find anything that definitively says... For a charge, are we able/allowed to draw our own, or must we use pre-set charges from some collection? I have looked through a ton of examples, and read through heraldry.sca.org all night at work, and all Ive concluded is that all charges seem to be identical or extremely similar across multiple different peoples Armory. For example, a lion on one is the same lion on another, same with birds, bears, etc, perhaps with limbs or head positioned differently. I did find mention that drawings must be done in an acceptable manner, but I couldnt tell if that was giving leave to, say, draw our own version of a wolf head, or whether it was just stating that flaws/errors due to artistic ability were allowed in copying a historical version of a wolf.
