Alright people tonight is Game 1 of the NBA Finals and if you live - TopicsExpress

Alright people tonight is Game 1 of the NBA Finals and if you live in California like I do , then you have a predicament on your hands on who you want to root for, you see Lakers fans have a lot of teams that they just cant stand being on the same court with and 2 out of those 3 teams so happened to be in the NBA Finals, I think number 2 team that Lakers fans hate is the Spurs, because the Lakers have played more against them and even had some intense rivalries from the late 90s through the mid 2000s. The number three team on the Lakers hate list is the Miami Heat, and your wondering well you think Lakers Fans, would hate the Miami Heat more right, and I say to you yes right now at the present moment, but what Im talking about is the formidable foes in the Lakers History. The Miami Heat are close to the years of Lakers Success of the Showtime Lakers and the Kobe, Shaq, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Ron Harper and Brian Shaw days. Now I know this is crazy, but this isnt the first time that a team trys to look for some great players to make a Dynasty that would later on lead to a legacy. I mean for example exhibit A the LA Lakers were trying to look for players that could make the Lakers great maybe even greater than the Kobe and Shaq Days, so the near mid 2000s the Lakers took a roll on Karl Malone and Gary Payton, what that led to was one NBA Finals appearance and shockingly lost to the Detroit Pistons in 5 games of the NBA Finals, exhibit B the Boston Celtics in the late 2000s picking up Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics had some playoff prowess, went to NBA Finals twice, won one and lost one both to the LA Lakers. What Im trying to say is the Miami Heat isnt the first team to pick up great players and place them on the same team. Remember last Summer the Brooklyn Nets picked up Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce and if history repeats itself well the Brooklyn Nets will end up like the LA Lakers team that had Karl Malone and Gary Payton. The San Antonio Spurs play as a team, they have to face a Miami Heat team that after the end of this season will have some free agency going on. So why am I typing all this information why does this matter? It matters because if the Miami Heat win this NBA Finals, they will become the New York Yankees of Basketball. All of the NBA Finals that the Spurs and the Lakers won to the late 1990s - the late 2000s would be swept under the rug in the sands of time. The reason why I say the LA Lakers especially the fans of Lakers dont enjoy the Miami Heat because its as if looking in a mirror of the past the Lakers it seemed every year there would be a parade nearly every year and I still remember the dreaded words that my brother told me after he went to the LA Lakers Parade of the NBA Finals championship, if the Lakers would win, he said, If they win it next year I will take you to the parade. So when I heard those words at the time I had a feeling it would be a long time, but luckily there is more than one sports team in LA I mean right now the LA Kings are facing the N.Y. Rangers in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals and the Kings are up 1-0 in the series. So the 2014 NBA Finals who does the state of California want to win it all? According to ESPN polls California wants the Miami Heat to win, but if they really asked anyone in California they would hacve three different answers well 5 different answers , but two of them I dont think facebook would allow me to use such language. The answers would be 1.I dont care wait till next year. 2. Is there a possible way that both teams could lose. 3. Anyone but the Heat. So as Im Nathan Sprague saying so long until next time on the Hardwood Facts.
