Alright per Jane Kizer Im supposed to tell you 9 things that people probably dont know about me. 1. My first job was at age 16 at Wal-Mart Pharmacy as a pharmacy tech. I worked in hospital and retail pharmacy for 10 yrs. 2. I am a 5th generation Texan from my daddys side and our family worked on the largest ranches in Texas (The W.T. Waggoner Ranch in West Texas) many of the Covingtons were farmers and ranchers. 3. As a child I had a pet skunk named Lisa-La Pew (descented of course) I had a boyfriend whos father worked in animal control and he rescued these babies and gave them to us as a pet. Seriously adorable. 5. My first car was a 69 Nova :) but I learned to drive my first stick shift in a VW Bug. 6. In high school, I showed lambs through FFA and was the secretary of our club. I also ran hurdles, was a post in basketball, was a alternate JV cheerleader, on the drill team, and played volleyball. 7. I have never lived outside of Texas and dont plan to ever :). 8. I met my husband at Whataburger and we started dating after I ordered a chocolate shake. 23 yrs. later I believe I ordered Whataman!! He was a junior at the University of North Texas where he graduated from with a accounting degree, and I was a Senior in High School. 9. The very first bill I lobbied and testified on through CWA was the Texas Voter ID bill. Its now law. Since that time I worked to pass religious liberty bills, bills that would make those who traffic humans tougher, pro-life, education and many other pieces of legislation I pray makes Texas a better place to live.
