Alright, several people have asked out of curiosity. So, here you go! In the heart of my last relapse, I did something stupid (neither illegal nor even immoral, just plain STUPID)! I was a Police Sergeant and because of the relapse and its negative effect on my ability to rationalize, I didnt handle the upcoming investigation to the satisfaction of the chief and was asked to resign. I just figured Id get a job at another department so I resigned. Little did I know that the numbness would increase so I couldnt even write (hands numb, especially right or primary hand) when attempting to apply for another job. So, needless to say, I was unable to get another job! The stress continued to increase, so the relapse did as well! I lost my income, retirement, and all other means to support my family! So, here I am today! Just trying to keep my head above water!
