Its a smashing 4 disc collection of Jump Blues from the middle 20th Century. With artists such as Professor Longhair, Fats Domino and Champion Jack Dupree its a great introduction to the genre. So heres Roy Browns Good Rockin tonight, a 1947 track which definately feels like a stepping stone toward Rock n Roll. In fact hip-swivelling Elvis was all over this in 1954, issuing a cover as his second single for Sun Records.
