Also, Black Friday counts as Thanksgiving. I know myself and others would rather be at home still enjoying Thanksgiving with my family than working a mandatory retail shift on our busiest shopping day of the year. Plus, its not like work starts on Black Friday. We OPEN on Black Friday (most stores right AT midnight) but the work starts Thanksgiving in the evening. Ive worked retail a long time and people get ugly. Thankfulness is the last thing on the employees minds.
