Also,I believe the stereotypical New Yorker has a active branch in Boston, as I recall. That is the city where double parking is the norm. New Yorkers, in my experience, are actually very amiable folk. Except some of the cabbies but then they are another species of creature altogether. There is a country or planet perhaps somewhere that infants are sent to learn to become cab drivers. It requires vigorous training in the art of impatience and horn blowing. It is not easy to drive all day and manage to "just " miss hitting hordes of pedestrians who pay scant attention to when they should and should not walk.
