Also OPENING TONIGHT at The Ross: A PLACE AT THE TABLE, a documentary focusing on the issue of hunger in America. On Sunday we will have two special events in conjunction with this movie. Starting at noon there will be free informational displays from the following local organizations working to make healthy food accessible, available, and affordable: Bread for the World, Buy Fresh Buy Local Nebraska, Center for People in Need, Community Crops, Food Bank of Lincoln, Matt Tablot Kitchen & Outreach, & Nebraska Appleseed. After the event there will be a 1:30 p.m. screening of A PLACE AT THE TABLE followed by a free movie talk with guest panelists: Scott Young (Moderator / Executive Director, Food Bank of Lincoln), Mariana Muñoz de Schell (Agency Relations Director, Food Bank of Lincoln), Susanne Blue CMSW (Executive Director, Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach), Beatty Brasch (Executive Director, Center for People in Need), & Becky Gould (Executive Director, Nebraska Appleseed).
