Also bring with you your brethren of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may be joined with you and serve you while you and your sons are with you before the tabernacle of witness. They shall attend to your needs and all the needs of the tabernacle; but they shall not come near the articles of the sanctuary and the altar, lest they die--they and you also (Numbers 18:2-3, NKJV). That there are various roles and responsibilities in the things of God is already a given. My God!!! That God has given some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ...(Ephesians 4:11-14, NKJV, is also a given. Glory to God, Alleluia! Let us not forget that one needs to be equipped to function in ministry. Again, even though God has given some, He has not and does not expect our behaviors, attitudes, values, or norms to be different. The same standard God has set for Tom, Mary, Esther, David and many more is the same for Martha, John, Peter or Stella. Whatever affects Mary also affects Tom. When Tom decides to go near and start fiddling with articles of the sanctuary unauthorized, not only does it affect Tom who did the fiddling around, it also affects David who is the authorized person. This may sound like Greek to many out there today however; God has a message for everyone of us today. This message is this: No child of God regardless of the persons position in Gods scheme of things is above any commandment of God. No child of God has any immunity from Gods judgment when we violate Gods word. God is asking that we get it together fast before His judgment comes upon His people.
