Also memories from the 60s: Frank Harlow - my first boyfriend - He later, after graduation, became an Attorney. He was killed in a Jeep accident on a beach in Cancun. We were still friends after all those years. I met him in the playground of Plantation Park. I was only 12 years old. Kokomo - All the kids favorite place to hang out. The Strand Theater- The Bossier City Drive In Greenacres Jr High-red & Blue Football jackets..very proudly wore my boyfriends jacket. Bossier High-Go Bearkats! Airline High Go Vikings Church A Go Go The Bossier City Strip (My friends & I managed to go into Meryl Kimberly s Saks Whisk A Go Go. We were 16 years old. Meryl offered me a job to dance in the cage. Go Go boots & all. He obviously didnt know I was only 16. Music & dancing was a huge part of our lives. My mother was a huge fan of music & always had the records spinning on our hi-fi. Stans Record shop - Remember the Plug Platter special every week. Only 69 cents for the 45.
