Also thoughts on prayers with another athlete, albeit this one retired. One of my favorite football players going up, Jim Kelly is recovering from cancer removal surgery. He had the surgery last Friday to remove a cancerous tumor in his jaw bone that required removal of a portion of the jawbone. Kelly remains in a Buffalo, New York hospital while he recovers. He had been experiencing pain in the jaw since December and in March had a cyst removed from his jaw and that is how the cancer was found. He had been diagnosed with cancer in mid-May. It appears thankfully the cancer was slow growing and caught early, as the cancer appears to have been contained to the part of the jaw where it was removed from and that it had not spread to any other part of the body though doctors are not yet sure whether they will have Kelly undergo a round of chemo as a precaution. mercurynews/sports/ci_23412177/jim-kelly-has-surgery-remove-cancer-speedy-recovery?source=most_viewed
