You cannot see homes without preparing idly podi, and my home is the one. Earlier when my mother use to prepare this idly podi myself and my brother use to finish off very quickly. Here i will show you how to prepare idly podi quickly...... Ingredients: Channa Dhal- 1/3 cup Urad dhal- 1 cup Curry leaves- 1/2 cup Garlic- 10 pods Dry red Chilies- 5-6 Oil- 1/2 tbsp (1/4+1/4) Hing- 1/4 tbsp Rock Salt- as required Method: Take a wide pan add 1/4 tbsp of oil and dry roast channa dhal & Urad dhal in a low flame until it turns golden brown in colour and transfer it to a plate. In the same pan add 1/4 tbsp of oil and dry roast red chilies in a low flame and transfer it to the same plate Now in the same pan add curry leaves and garlic and roast till the raw smell of the garlic goes off and transfer it to the plate and allow it to cool for sometime. In a mixer transfer the roasted ingredients with hing and rock salt and a make a powder and transfer it to he air tight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time.
