Also visit: kiruthikaarun.blogspot.in/2013/07/mushroom-biriyani.html Mushroom Biriyani Ingredients: Mushroom- 11 pieces Oil- 2 tbsp Fennel seeds- 1tbsp Cinnamon- few Cloves- 3 Bay leaf- 2 Javethri -2 onion- 2 Tomato-1/2 Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tbsp Mint leaves- few Coriander leaves- few Green Chilies- 2/3 Curd- 1/2 cup Salt- as required Basmati Rice- 1 cup (Soaked for 1 hr & Drained) Ghee- 3 tbsp Method: In a cooker add 2 tbsp of oil and add fennel seeds, cinnamon,Bay leaf amd javethri and saute well till the fennel seeds starts becoming brown in colour Now add Onions and saute till the onion becomes golden brown in colour( this is very important) Also add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and mushroom and saute well for 5 mins. To that add 1/2 cup of curd and mix well and salt as required, Allow everything to cook well for minimum 5-7 mins Once everything is cooked well add the soaked and drained rice and mix well, to that add 1 and half cup of water and pressure cook upto 3 whistles. Once the steam goes off open the cooker and with the help of knife draw lines in the biriyani and add mint leaves and 3 tbsp of ghee and again draw lines in order to mix well. Now our hot and spicy Mushroom Biriyani is ready to serve. It can be served with raitha/ Prawns masala/Chicken masala. Happy Cooking!!! Try out the recipe and share your comments!!
