Alternating wave Battling Ropes 20 second bursts as part of my conditioning circuit today. I see a lot of people do this exercise, yet fail to focus on the fundamental position and movement. If you do this exercise, make sure you hold a good body position. It is not a squat or standing upright. If you sit back into position like the start of a kettlebell swing or deadlift you will get there. Also note I am not flailing my arms up and down from the shoulder or keeping my arms straight. The whipping movement needs to come from the elbows and shoulder with the core working hard to stabilise and create a solid base to move from. You dont need long on the ropes to smoke the body and sky rocket the heart rate! Give them a go if you can! -Vaughan-
