Although Down Syndrome is very different from Tourette Syndrome I have this strong connection with Paisley, the girl in this video and a deep understanding for her mom and dad. My views on disability and freedom of choice for women has drastically changed over time and this video has touched my heart. It shows that everyone deserves a chance despite whether they have a disability or not. This video has made me recognize how strong my parents are for raising me, a child with a disability and a child who has struggled emotionally, mentally, physically, and socially. I am so grateful for my family, my sister and brother who has also raised me. I only hope to return the favor by making them proud, spreading awareness for Tourettes syndrome, and some day raising a child of my own despite whatever they have and teach and empower them how to lead the world in a compassionate direction.
