Although I am an educator, I am the first person in the room to denounce the present public education system and especially higher education in America. I have written extensively about the professors in upper academia and their delusional accounts of history......Proving my point of collegiate elitism and historical impairment within the professorial ranks , Washington Post columnist, Jonathan Zimmerman has written a piece about executive term limits and the need to eradicate the antiquated 22nd Amendment which limits presidential terms. Zimmerman is both a history and education professor at New York University, yet his ideology has so stifled his rational thinking that he believes that presidential term limits are a slap in the faces of We the People. Zimmerman wants presidents to serve as many terms as the people elect him or her to serve...........In 1947 The GOP pushed the 22nd Amendment through Congress, placing term limits upon the executive office. In 1951 the bill was ratified by the states. Zimmerman believes that the Republicans, by initiating this amendment, showed a lack of faith in the judgment of the American people........Well, what can one say about a so-called historian and educator who is so pompously ignorant of the damage done to this country by a Congress which runs amok and is void of term limits? The nation suffers from a legislative and judicial branch of government which has little fear of retribution at the ballot box for poor or corrupt governance. Zimmermans rationale is back asswards, to put it nicely, as he thinks that facing the electorate every few years keeps the lawmakers honest and on the ball...Yeah, right!............And really, Mr. Zimmerman, not even Pollyanna trusts the American people at the ballot box. One too many generations of welfare recipients has rendered the polling places in America to be nothing more than banana republic politics. I wouldnt trust the American voters any further than I can throw them, and I dont even teach at a high profile university or write for the statist Washington Post........Power begets power, and the notable Professor of history and education believes that we need to give this president more power......And Jonathan Zimmerman is teaching your children......One more reason to send your child to trade school!
