Although I am in love with my natural hair, when it comes to my job, or doing on camera web work I admit that I have been insecure about reporting with my #naturalhair out. Anyone who knows me, can tell you that I never really cared about being seen, Ive always wanted to reach audiences through quality #journalism. But things are changing and you cant really hide behind words anymore. Ive spoken with other black women in media who also fear being natural behind the lens. Its just hard for some to risk in a field that 100% judges women on appearance. Pam Oliver anyone? Anyhow, this is a great story by a TV reporter who faced this stigma head on (no pun) by going natural
